No point in me going over old ground - play the championship during the summer as everyone is demanding.
Regarding the minors - if they are good enough to play with the clubs adult team then let them play regardless if the county minors are still involved. There are a full round of minor fixtures on this week - most teams are playing on Friday night and then alot of the players are expected to play with their clubs adult team on either Saturday or Sunday in the championship...If the county minors were still involved in the All Ireland series, all club minor and adult games would be cancelled..A big two fingers to the club players from the county board!! |

| Well done annes. Fully deserved. Internal politics in shels means we are lookin relegation in the face. The players have their heads down all year. The training is a joke. Oulart look good but askamore not a test. great credit to them though. They were never overawed by oulart and never gave up. They will giv the annes a go in the last round thogh the annes experience should win out. Its goin to be hard to lift shels u21 players for co final on mon. |

good man wexman. do you really think anyone believes you are from Murrintown, or are an Annes man, or even from the MArtins? at least be honest with your opinions and stop trying to pass yourself off as being from other clubs.

Weekend Results are as follows:
Intermediate Hurling:
HWH Bunclody 1-18 V 2-8 Ballyfad
Davistown-Courtnacuddy 2-17 V 2-18 St Mogue's Fethard
Shamrocks 0-13 V 2-11 Monageer-Boolavogue
St Mary's Rosslare 0-13 V 2-20 Fr O`Regans Craanford
Clongeen 5-10 V 1-7 Liam Mellows
St Anne's Rathnure 1-16 V 0-8 Duffry Rovers
Ballygarrett-Réalt na Mara 2-11 V 3-13 St Patrick's
Naomh Éanna 2-7 V 2-18 Oulart the Ballagh
Senior Hurling:
Faythe Harriers 1-13 V 2-17 St Anne's Rathnure
Rapparees-Starlights 1-13 V 1-12 St Martin's
Ferns St Aidans 1-14 V 1-9 St Bridgid's Blackwater
Buffers Alley 3-15 V 0-9 Rathgarogue-Cushinstown
Oulart the Ballagh 5-27 V 2-17 Askamore-Kilrush
St Anne's Rathangan 2-23 V 0-8 Shelmaliers
Marshalstown-Castledockrell 1-11 V 1-23 Glynn-Barntown
Cloughbawn 2-10 V 0-10 Oylegate-Glenbrien
No big shocks in the Senior - St. Annes hammering the Shels is the biggest one I suppose. The Martins been bet by Rapps is another one. Some interesting games left for last round. Askamore and Annes will battle it out for remaining place as Oulart are through. Harriers and Cloughbawn also play each other with winner taking 2nd place as Rathnure are through. Shels are out and with 3 going down could find themselves in trouble
In Intermediate grade biggest win seems to be Rathnure 2nds beating Duffry Rovers by 11 points. Duffry had put up 6-23 against Liam Mellows in the first round and now must beat Clongeen to get through to the Q/Fs. Rathnure qualify with Liam Mellows left to play. Monageer had a very good win over Shamrocks which leaves that group down to the wire - Shamrocks, Monageer and New Ross are level on points after 3 games. Oulart had a good win over Gorey also which advance them to the Q/F |

Was at some of the games over the weekend. St. Martins were very poor against the Rapps. I know they only lost by a point but Rapps seemed to be better than them overall. This is a Rapps side in transition. They have a lot of very young promising players on the team now. This win will give them confidence and they can be hopeful of progressing to the knockout stages.
Rathnure and the Harriers was a good game. Close enough until the last ten minutes when Rathnure got a soft goal. Kevin Gore at centre bck hurled well for the Harriers. Mick O' Leary still as classy as ever for Rathnure. Young Declan Foley impressed me for Rathnure. looks to be a good prospect.
Heard the Shamrocks were well beaten by Monageer Boolavogue. They were extremely lucky to beat New Ross in first round. Looks like they have went back since last year.Intermediate could be between Oulart and Bunclody and Rathnure second teams this year, although i wouldnt rule out the Duffry yet. |
